Returns & Exchange Policy

At Custom Hat Maker, customer satisfaction is important to us. Since most of our products are custom-made and personalized to each customer’s specifications, special conditions apply to returns and exchanges.

Custom Products

Because all custom hats and personalized products are made specifically for each customer, we generally do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for:

  • Custom embroidered hats
  • Custom patch hats
  • Custom printed hats
  • Personalized products
  • Products made according to customer-provided artwork, logos, or specifications

Please carefully review all design proofs, sizes, colors, and order details before approving production.

Eligible Returns & Replacements

We may offer a replacement, exchange, or refund if:

  • The product arrives damaged.
  • The product contains a manufacturing defect.
  • The item received is significantly different from the approved design.
  • The wrong product was shipped.

To qualify, customers must notify us within 7 days of delivery.

How to Submit a Claim

To request a replacement, exchange, or refund, please email us at info@customhatmaker.com and include:

  • Order number
  • Full name
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographs showing the problem
  • Any additional relevant information

Our team will review the request and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Custom-made products
  • Personalized items
  • Products approved by the customer before production
  • Clearance or sale items
  • Gift cards (if applicable)

Exchange Policy

Exchanges are only available for products that are defective, damaged, or incorrectly produced.

We do not offer exchanges for:

  • Customer ordering mistakes
  • Incorrect sizing selected by the customer
  • Change of mind after production begins
  • Minor color or placement variations that are considered normal in custom manufacturing

Return Shipping

If a return or replacement is approved due to our error or a manufacturing defect, we may provide return instructions and cover reasonable return shipping costs where applicable.

If the issue is not caused by Custom Hat Maker, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Refund Processing

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
  • Shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless the error was caused by us.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled before production begins.

Once production has started, custom orders cannot typically be canceled, modified, or refunded because materials and labor have already been committed to the project.
